Reed Switches

Hasco Reed SwitchesA Reed Switch is a simple, electronic, switching device that uses two pieces of wire to create a Form A style or three pieces of wire to create a Form C. Hasco's reed switch blades are specially produced and sealed in a glass tube and then placed in an inert gas. The advantage of using Hasco's brand is that you are unlikely to come across any contact resistance build-up over years of use or more important “non-use” because the blades are sealed off from outside elements.

Proximity Reed Switches

1984 saw the birth of the Alarm Contact Division of Tane Services Inc. known as Tane Alarm Products. Tane uses the finest deactivated RHODIUM reeds made today to insure long life and no sticking. Hasco contacts have been tested to go over 400,000,000 cycles; more important, they are able to sit still for years in an unused door and operate that one critical time.
